Prepare Tooth Powder of your own

Do it yourself tooth powder that is GOOD for you and naturally whitens your teeth ❥➥❥ Peppermint Sage Tooth Powder

Makes ½ cup of tooth powder
2 tablespoons bentonite clay
2 tablespoons baking soda
1 tablespoon dried, finely ground sage leaf
1 tablespoon xylitol (optional, for adding sweetness)
½ tablespoon pure sea salt
15-20 drops peppermint essential oil

* Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly with a non-metal spoon. Drip essential oils into the mixture and stir well to combine. Transfer to a small container or jar with a tight fitting lid. Particles of the tooth powder are fine enough that a small squirt bottle like this can also be used (as long as you don’t get the squirt-tip wet, which will cause clogging). Note: Bentonite clay loses its beneficial properties when it comes into contact with metal, so it’s best to use plastic or glass when mixing and storing your tooth powder
* To brush with tooth powder, simply dip your toothbrush into the powder, or carefully squirt some onto a wet toothbrush. Brush teeth as usual. Follow with homemade moutwash if desired
* Note: If using the dip method to get powder onto your toothbrush, you may want to consider giving each family member his/her own container.

Benefits of ingredients

Bentonite clay – This natural clay has the unique ability to bind to toxins in the body. It is especially useful in eliminating toxins from heavy metals in your mouth, like mercury from mercury fillings. This clay will never bind to any of the beneficial elements in your body. Bentonite clay is also rich in minerals that can nourish teeth and gums.

Baking soda – This ingredient has been a trusted tooth cleanser long before it was added to the tubes you’ll see on store shelves. Baking soda gently polishes teeth and naturally whitens your smile. This chart, which shows the Abrasiveness Index of some common brands of toothpaste, lists baking soda as less abrasive than most commercial toothpastes.

Sage – Sage has been recognized by many cultures for its natural tooth-whitening abilities. Known for its astringent properties, sage is perfect for oral health and whitening discolored teeth.

Xylitol – This ingredient is optional, but can be added to sweeten the finished product. Research has shown that xylitol has many benefits for oral health. A pinch of stevia powder can be used as a substitute for the xylitol in this recipe if you wish.

Sea salt – Pure sea salt is full of tooth-nourishing minerals, and is especially helpful in healing irritated gums.

Peppermint essential oil – This essential oil has antibacterial, antiseptic, and pain-relieving properties. Peppermint is said to be beneficial for mouth and gum infections (although you should consult your dentist if you suspect a serious condition). In addition, it adds a cool, minty fresh flavor to this tooth powder. If you don’t like peppermint you can substitute spearmint to create a different minty twist.

Lets take notes using Google-Keep

After a little peek-a-boo, Google has officially launched Keep, its note-taking service and app that lets users key-in quick notes and lists, and also attach pictures with them. The service is available online on and as an app for devices running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and above. The service will be integrated with Google Drive and users will be able to create and edit notes and lists directly through Drive in the coming weeks.

The Keep Android app also allows users to take pictures via the device's camera and save them as notes, in addition to enabling them to speak and convert voice memos to text. It offers a lock screen widget allowing users to quickly create notes even when the phone is locked on devices running the latest version - 4.2 of Android Jelly Bean OS.

The app has a rather simple interface with controls to add quick text notes, lists, voice notes and capture images. It allows users to organise and browse notes in multi-column and single-column view, share notes via the Android share menu and archive them.

A Tamilan now Pope of Android

The joke quickly made the rounds of Twitter: Top Google Inc. executive Sundar Pichai had been elected pope –- of Android.

There were no puffs of white smoke as there were for Pope Francis, just a blog post Wednesday from Google co-founder and Chief Executive Larry Page announcing a major changing of the guard at the Internet giant.

Pichai had been tapped to run the world's most popular mobile operating system. He is taking over from Andy Rubin, who has stepped down as head of Android. Pichai's new job -- making sure nothing slows Android's momentum -- has thrust him into the spotlight.

"I know Sundar will do a tremendous job doubling down on Android as we work to push the ecosystem forward," Page said in the post.

Pichai's ascension comes at a crucial time for Android. Its growth has begun to flatten, and Google executives have begun to worry about Samsung Electronics Co.'s dominance of Android. The South Korean company sells about 40% of the gadgets that use Android software and is about to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy S4.

Some see Pichai's takeover of Android as a signal that Google wants to coordinate or merge its two operating systems: Chrome and Android. Pichai is also the senior vice president of Chrome.

Pichai has turned the Chrome browser into a breakout success, giving Internet Explorer and Firefox a real run for their money.

"In 2008, people asked whether the world really needed another browser. Today Chrome has hundreds of millions of happy users and is growing fast, thanks to its speed, simplicity and security," Page wrote.

Under Pichai, the Chrome operating system has found its way into products such as the Chromebook Pixel.

"Sundar has a talent for creating products that are technically excellent yet easy to use — and he loves a big bet," Page said.

Pichai made his bet on Google when he joined the company in 2004. He had worked at Applied Materials and McKinsey & Co. He got his bachelor's degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, a master's degree in science from Stanford University and a master of business administration degree from Wharton.

He gained more visibility in 2011 when Twitter tried to poach him to lead product. Pichai decided to stay with Google.

BGC Partners analyst Colin Gillis said Pichai has a weighty responsibility.

"He had better not screw it up," Gillis said. "Android is a big success right now."

Leaked! Is this what the Samsung Galaxy S IV looks like?

Exactly after one week from now, Samsung will finally launch its next-generation Galaxy S smartphone – the Galaxy S4 – at a media event, scheduled to take place in New York, March 14. But regardless of that, the so-called rumor mill surrounding the upcoming device doesn’t seem to calm down just yet.
Following a report saying the Samsung Galaxy S4 will stick to the traditional plastic body, “despite rivals opting to use metal and other premium-feeling materials,” a new report has appeared online Wednesday with a set of screenshots, claiming to be of an American variant of the next Samsung flagship smartphone.

  • Exynos 5 processor

The leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 screenshots, published by the tech blog GSM Israel, apparently have confirmed a number of key features of the device that have been widely rumored of late. The screenshots have revealed that the Galaxy S3 successor will feature a 5-inch Full HD display with screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (441 ppi), a 13-megapixel primary camera, 2GB RAM and a Quad-Core 1.8GHz processor with LTE on board.
As SamMobile has pointed out, the leaked screenshots belong to an American variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4. That said, there is still possibility that the international variant of the smartphone will be powered by an Exynos Octa CPU.

Smart Scroll’ Confirmed!
Reports surfaced a couple of days back suggesting that the new Samsung Galaxy S4 will include a new eye-tracking feature that can track users’ eyes to scroll through pages. Now, the new reports featuring Galaxy S4 screenshots have confirmed that the device will indeed have the ability to allow users scroll up and down a page with an eye movement, thanks to a new feature called “Smart Scroll.”
Apart from that, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will also have features like “Smart Pause” that will freeze any multimedia playing on the device when the user turns his head away, “Smart Rotation” that will adjust the screen orientation according to the user’s angle of sight and “Smart Stay” that will disable screen timeout when the device detects that the user’s face is watching the screen.
Other details revealed by the claimed Galaxy S4 screenshots include a brand new TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0, an overhauled settings menu with a tabbed interface and white background.
The leaked screenshots in question came on the heels of a different report from SamMobile, in which it showed another set of screenshots from a device that were claimed to be of the yet-be-released Samsung Galaxy S4. However, the site clarified in a later update to the story that those images were actually from the Android 4.2.1 leaked firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
“We have just found out that these images are actually from the Android 4.2.1 leaked firmware for Galaxy S III and we were given the wrong information by the tipper. Though, the Galaxy S IV will indeed have these features as confirmed by our insider,” SamMobile explained.
Take a look at the list of likely features of the Samsung Galaxy S4, followed by the leaked screenshots of the device (courtesy GSM Israel).
